New variety: Vina walnuts

Coaldale Walnuts is now stocking a new variety of walnuts called Vina. Also grown in the Coal River Valley, these nuts have a deeper amber colour, with the same rich flavour and crunchy texture as our Chandler and Franquette varieties.  This means we’ll have a longer supply of nuts throughout the year – great news

Coaldale open weekend goes nuts

Harvest 2021 wrap up

We have just finished our harvest for this season and the nuts are looking great. When we harvest we do several passes through our 1,500-tree orchard with our little harvester, collecting the nuts that have fallen naturally to the ground. Coaldale Walnuts farm open weekend 8-9 May 2021
