A favourite dessert in our family and so easy to make.
- 6 egg whites
- 180g sugar
- 100g coarsely blended walnuts
- 200g good-quality chocolate, chopped
- 200g dates, pitted and chopped
- Cocoa powder to serve
- Greek yoghurt to serve
Preheat the oven to 180C. Lightly grease and line the base and sides of a 22cm springform pan.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and beat until glossy and thick.
Fold in the walnuts, dates and chocolate.
Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes, then turn the oven off and leave the door ajar until cool.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve with Greek yoghurt.
