How We Keep Our Products Gluten-Free

For many people, eating gluten-free isn’t a choice — it’s absolutely essential. Even small amounts of gluten can cause serious health problems, especially for those with coeliac disease. That’s why Coaldale Walnuts takes extra care at every step to ensure our products stay completely gluten-free and safe for you to enjoy.

We make all our products with gluten-free ingredients, focusing strongly on quality and safety. We don’t use any gluten-containing foods on our equipment, and we dedicate it exclusively to gluten-free production. This removes the risk of cross-contamination.

In our pickled walnuts and pickled walnut paste we use apple cider vinegar instead of the traditional malt vinegar, making our pickled walnuts naturally gluten-free. The spices used are also free from gluten contamination.

Our walnut flour is a great option for creating gluten free baked goods at home. As well as being free from gluten, it’s high in fibre, protein and Omega 3s.
