We attended the Slow Food Hobart market which was held at the Open day for the University of Tasmania Radio Telescope at Cambridge on a blowy and rainy Sunday 25 August. There were around 300 to 400 hardy souls touring the site and calling in to sample our fine wares. It was a very interesting day with lots of catching up with old mates and lots of walnut conversations with new customers.

Apart from 1/2kg and 1kg bags of nuts in shell, jars of pickled walnuts and vacuum-sealed bags of kernel, Jane had made beautiful walnut caramel tartlets with chocolate ganache and walnut caps, apple and walnut mini muffins with white chocolate and whole walnut caps, and simple walnut flour and chocolate cakes sold by the slice. Very tasty all round!
