Coaldale Walnuts farm open weekend 8-9 May 2021
Come and pick your own fresh walnuts from our orchard and enjoy a lovely autumn day on the farm in the picturesque Coal Valley. Open Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May, 10am-4pm.
Bring a basket or bucket for collecting nuts and a picnic if you like – there’s plenty of room for kids to run around. What a lovely way to celebrate Mothers’ Day!
Entry is free, and you only pay $6 per kilo for the freshest, sweetest walnuts you’ll ever taste.
Just wondering if the walnuts you pick yourself over the weekend if the green outer layer taken of by a machine or do we do it ourselves?
Hi Yvonne, at this stage in the season the green husks have usually fallen off the nuts. If there are any still hanging on they are pretty easy to pull off by hand.
